Case Overview of BREONNA TAYLOR

What happen to Breonna Taylor?

On March 13th, 2020, around midnight, Louisville Police Department broke down 26-year old Breonna Taylor’s apartment. LPD had received a signed no-knock warrant to search Breonna Taylor’s home after reports of suspicious drug-related packages were being sent to her apartment, with ties she had with a prior boyfriend. NOT Breonna Taylor's current boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, a common misconception circulating the media. LPD allegedly announced themselves, and after 45 seconds broke down the door. Breonna Taylor woke up and both her and Kenneth Walker got up announcing themselves loudly. In which Kenneth Walker grabs his registered gun and fires once, pointing down, striking Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly on the thigh. As a result, Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly responded in gunfire, Detective Brett also followed with 10 shots of his own, to which he claimed were shot blindly. A total of 35 shots were fired, all across Breonna Taylors home, hitting her six times. Two shots which hit the home next door.
